Viking Voices showcases student opinions on different issues by asking them different questions.

Have you ever used Zipcar? If so, why? If not, would you ever consider using it and why?

Riley Marshall
sophomore, elementary education
“I have not used Zipcar. I really wanted to go on a trip last year and I didn’t have a car so I looked into it, but I ended up finding somebody who had a car. I would be interested in using it, but I don’t know much about it.”
VikingVoices10-21-004-Rubinstein-200x300
William Rubinstein
junior, geography
“I have not ever used Zipcar. I would consider using it if I was a freshman and say needed to get groceries up the hill or just wanted to see the town more. There were some times when I was a freshman that I felt a little limited because I didn’t have a car and didn’t know anybody with one. With that being said, I think it’s important for people to be able to do things without a car: bike around and walk around.”
VikingVoices10-21-005-Quattrone-200x300
Tara Quattrone
sophomore, environmental science
“Last year I really thought about it because I didn’t have a car and I thought it was a really great idea, but I never got to it. I have a car now though so I don’t have any reason to. I think for freshman it is a really great option because most freshman don’t have a car.”
VikingVoices10-21-007-Hughes-200x300
Mila Huges
freshman, English
“I have never [used Zipcar], but I would definitely consider it because I don’t have my own car. That would be a really good solution to have a car on campus. My friend has [her own] car on campus and she’s really annoyed always having to find parking spots.”
VikingVoices10-21-008-Sacher-200x300
Jay Sacher
senior, physics
“I wouldn’t [use Zipcar] just because I own a car so it seems sort of useless to me.”
