Students struggle with bike theft on Western’s campus

For students whose main mode of transportation is biking, bike theft on Western Washington University’s campus is a big concern.
Amongst the usual dorm items in first-year Western student Lila Jensen’s room are bits of wire, beads and flower charms molded from clay, waiting to be taken home to fire on the next school break.
It’s night and the campus is empty. No one is around to see someone pull a brick out of the cobblestone pathways of Western Washington University.
Nora Selander is the new director of the Office of Government Relations at Western Washington University. This office works with elected officials in the state and federal government to promote and pursue policy objectives related to Western and its students and faculty.
Western’s Counseling and Wellness Center, in collaboration with the Outback Farm, is hosting an event on climate anxiety as part of its monthly Growing Wellness workshop.
As workplaces return to operation in person, many students need a professional wardrobe for an influx of job fairs, interviews and internships. Tucked away on the second floor of Western Washington University’s Old Main is a room full of professional clothing ready to be used.
Many students rely on the dining halls at Western Washington University for meals while in school. However, students with food allergies can struggle to find accommodating options. When deciding where to eat, students with food allergies must consider ingredients, cross-contamination and whether there will be allergen-free options.
