Virtual reality now a reality at Western

Immersing oneself in a fabricated world that feels real is no longer just an idea of the future. Virtual reality seminars have begun at the Student Technology Center and a virtual reality game design course within the computer science department is on the horizon.

E-waste, the largest growing form of waste in America, is any electronic device that is discarded by its user. This could range from a broken pair of headphones or an old phone charger to a TV or a microwave.


Federal student aid faces 2018 cuts

The U.S. Department of Education 2018 budget plan, released this spring, proposes to eliminate or reduce funding for more than 30 programs, including a few that are crucial resources for some Western students paying tuition. The proposed budget is still awaiting approval from Congress.
