How did you come to decide on your major? How are you feeling about your current major status?

Remington Morris
freshman, biology chemistry
“I decided to become a Bio Chem major because I am a big fan of biology and chemistry. In high school I found it was something I was very interested in and I did well in.  I am interested in the field of Pharmacology, which is studying the effects of chemicals of the brain. Ultimately the goal is be working with patients who have mental problems and studying their brains and seeing if there is anything I can do to help them."

Joshua Reavis
junior, undecided
“I went back to school because it seemed efficacious to reaching my goals and the science path seemed good to me so I dabbled in that for a bit, but then I decided it wasn’t for me. I had already done a bunch of math, and I have worked with computers throughout my life, like video games and work for my dad, and Computer Science seemed like a good fit.  I thought, ‘why don’t I try this out?’”

Adrienne Mollet
sophomore, business
“I decided on business because knowing the possible careers that I could come out with after school, and the larger margin and more options out of school as well. I want to sell pharmaceuticals, I know people who currently do that and they are not only doing very well, but also enjoy it and have time for family too which seems important.”

Allie Sanchez
junior, communication sciences and disorders
“To be honest, originally I was going to be a linguistics major, but then I realized I did not know what I could do with that major.  I took a communication science and disorders class in the spring of 2015 and I really liked it. It had a lot of similarities with linguistics so I decided to look more into the CSD major and there are more job opportunities. I want to go into speech and language pathology, or accent training or reduction.”
