Every Tuesday night at 7 p.m. during the academic year, Western Washington University’s  Underground Coffeehouse hosts an open mic night. Performers of all experience levels are welcome to show up and play music or do stand up.

LGBTQ+ Western is hosting Western Washington University’s third annual Pride Celebration on Wednesday, May 31. The event will start at the flag plaza at 4 p.m. with the raising of the progress pride flag and a cord ceremony for queer graduates.

Spectators often gather along the ledge of Taylor Dock to observe a group of people jump into the bay. They probably think, “Why on earth would anyone ever jump into that freezing cold water?” That group is the Cold Plunge Club from Western Washington University.

On Friday, May 19, Western’s Digital Media Center will kick off its annual 48-Hour Film Fest, an event in which students will be challenged to write, shoot and edit a short film in just 48 hours.

Construction on Kaiser Borsari Hall begins

Construction on Kaiser Borsari Hall,  Western Washington University’s newest building, began March 20. Work on the 54,000-square-foot facility, projected to be completed in early 2025, broke ground east of the Communications Facility.
