Randhawa named WWU 14th president

Randhawa was introduced in the Viking Union Multi-Purpose Room by Karen Lee, the chair of Western’s Board of Trustees. He began with opening remarks about the importance of student success and Western’s future.

Western Libraries open research award applications

Western Libraries is now taking applications for their Undergraduate Research Award, with the winners receiving a $500 cash prize and the opportunity to display their research in Western’s Contributing to Education through Digital Access to Research — an online database that publishes intellectual and creative works from Western students and teachers.

Western sets guidelines for tuition waivers

Eileen Coughlin, Western’s Vice President for Enrollment and Student Services, has served as the financial manager for tuition waivers for the last 20 years. She said the policy is enhancing the process already used by the university.

Western students use new media center

A new media center has opened in Haggard Hall room 246 and will be operated by Academic Technology and User Services to provide opportunities for students and faculty to utilize the studio.
