LGBTQ+ Western is hosting Western Washington University’s third annual Pride Celebration on Wednesday, May 31. The event will start at the flag plaza at 4 p.m. with the raising of the progress pride flag and a cord ceremony for queer graduates.
May is Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Heritage Month. APIDA is a pan-ethnic classification that encompasses a wide variety of people, cultures and experiences. Western Washington University has chosen to spotlight the month, inviting people to answer the question: “What does APIDA mean to you?”
The best part of working with ceramics at Western Washington University, according to studio art majors and ceramics club members Gabe Rubanowitz and Kasey Maniulit, isn’t its expansive nature or even the act of creating. Rather, it’s getting to work with Ryan Kelly, the club’s academic advisor.
