Western junior Emily Wollebek is double majoring in psychology and German. She has been involved with the equestrian team for three years and is currently president of the club. Q: When will you be graduating from Western?A:Hopefully in 2017. I'm thinking about changing majors and if I do it will probably put me back another year, but if I keep to the course I'm at, I will graduate next spring.

Q: How did you get involved with the equestrian team?A: I heard about it before I came to Western. I wanted to go to a school that had an equestrian team, just because I wanted to make sure I can ride horses wherever I went.Q: What's your history with riding?A: I started riding when I was 5 years old at a local barn near my house. I always wanted to ride so I pressured my parents into finally letting me start my own lessons. I just kept with it, got my own horse when I was 10 years old and I still have him — he's up here in Lynden. So I have always had the passion and can't really remember not riding.Q: Where do you see yourself in a few years regarding horse riding?A: Hopefully, I’ll have a stable job to be able to support my hobby. I want to buy a another horse when I graduate from school because my horse I have right now is retired and just hangs out so I don't really ride him or anything. So, hopefully in a few years, after I get my life figured out a little bit more and once I'm in one stable spot, I want to make sure I get a horse and can support him and everything.
