Campus Style: Jerseys and Joggers

Sam Werner, 23, describes his fashion style as, “just do you baby.” His unique fashion sense comes from the idea to brand yourself. “Make up your own style and change the game,” Werner said.

Sam wears joggers and a jersey every day. Joggers are the elastic bottom sweatpants that have recently become a trend in men’s fashion. “I don’t really consider them joggers, because I’ve been wearing elastic bottom pants for a long time and just recently stores started labeling them as joggers,” Werner said.

Werner is seen on campus rocking the throwback Toronto Raptors, Tracy McGrady jersey, leather joggers and all white Air Jordan 1’s.

IMG_4Werner does a lot of his shopping online. “You can’t find this [jersey] anywhere in stores. I had to search everywhere online for it,” Werner said. He got the leather joggers from ASOS.com and shoes from a friend.

Werner wears the matching silver Pulsar watch and silver cross necklace, “You always got to match the wrist with the neck,” Werner said.

IMG_5Werner grew up loving sports and loves wearing the jerseys of his favorite “swaggy” players. He mostly wears basketball and football jerseys but on the weekends he uses button up baseball jerseys for going out because you can dress it up more.

“Baseball jerseys can really be dressed up nicely,” Werner said. “You can wear that out on the town and get away with it.”

According to Werner the most important part of the outfit is the jersey. He color coordinates every outfit to make the jersey stand out more, “You don’t want to distract from the main item, which is the jersey,” Werner said.
