Dolphins glide through water, eagles soar through the air and horses gallop majestically over rolling hills. Like those animals, senior co-captain of the Western men’s golf team Cody Roth is a creature in his element when he’s on the golf course.
“Go Viks, go!” echoed across campus as Western students sporting blue and white around their necks walked to Robert S. Harrington Field to watch the Vikings defeat the Concordia University Cavaliers on Saturday, Sept. 29.
Western senior Abby Phelps made history Saturday Sept. 29, setting an all-time women’s volleyball record for most career kills during a sweeping victory over Montana State University Billings. The seventh-ranked Vikings continue to move through the season with success, as the the win marks their 13th straight victory.

The No. 8 Western women’s volleyball team took its nine-game winning streak into a match with the University of Alaska Fairbanks to continue Great Northwest Athletic Conference play on Thursday, Sept. 20, at WECU Court at Sam Carver Gymnasium. The Vikings won in straight sets by scores of 25-19, 25-15 and 25-19.
