Monkey sew, monkey do

It is a scene akin to Santa’s workshop as a dozen women chatter away and piece together various items that make up the small stuffed sock monkeys they are building. The animals are more than just a pastime for these ladies, as their mission is to provide children in protective services or transitional homes with small tokens of comfort in the form of custom handmade sock monkeys.


Study, Sleep, Repeat

College students are expected to maintain three main aspects of their lives: studying, sleeping and a social life. Yet, there’s a catch. With so much going on as a student, it seems like there is only time for two of the three main aspects, rather than all three.

A dim blue light lit up the bar with neatly stacked bottles of alcohol across the top while the kitchen was buzzing with pots clanking as they prepped dishes of food to be tasted for the first time that night. No stone was left unturned during the preparation, from the placement of the salt shakers to the precision of the chalk calligraphy on chalkboard menus.

Friday night is alright for gaming

Home to students, professors and hearty discussion by day, one classroom is transformed into a gamer’s paradise on Friday nights. The room fills with students, but rather than bringing in notebooks and writing utensils, the room begins to fill with televisions and gaming consoles.
