This years theme, “Camp: Notes on Fashion.” Celebrities, athletes and the famous elite all come together for one night to celebrate fashion and raise money for the Costume Institute’s exhibit. BEST DRESSED: I believe that one of the best looks that came out of the gala this year was Ezra Miller in Burberry and Tiffany & Co. jewelry. This look was so perfectly over the top. Miller stepped out on the red carpet with the mask covering the underneath makeup until revealing the unique addition of five eyes and a red lip. The best dressed will always be someone who pushes the boundaries of fashion while also staying on theme. The look is complemented by Miller’s confidence in the outfit. It’s one thing to wear an outfit, but at the Met Gala, you have to present your outfit. Miller did a great job standing out from the numerous guests walking on the same red carpet. I applaud you, Ezra Miller.                       WORST DRESSED In my opinion, Elle Fanning in Miu Miu was the worst dressed at this years Met Gala. I choose this look because I don’t think it was very close to the theme and it just didn’t work. She is a beautiful woman, but the Met Gala is a place to really step out and do something memorable. This was just plain and not an eye grabber. Less is more. The different colored sleeves don’t belong and make the look lack cohesion. The clunky keychain necklace draws eyes away from the whole outfit. The wide leg pant doesn’t flatter her. It could’ve been done better.   HONORABLE MENTIONS [caption id="attachment_31796" align="alignnone" width="186"] Lupita Nyong’o in Versace[/caption] [caption id="attachment_31797" align="alignleft" width="214"] Jared Leto In Gucci[/caption] [caption id="attachment_31798" align="alignnone" width="300"] Billy Porter in The Blonds[/caption]
