NIGHT IN WITH NETFLIX: BOB'S BURGERS

Sophomore Celine Gross, an english literature major has recently been watching "Bob's Burgers" on Netflix. Q: How did you get introduced to the show? A: I actually used to think it was stupid, but my friend told me it was really funny and that I have to watch it. Q: What do you like about the show? A: I like that the humor is witty and not rude. I don’t really like rude, sexual humor in shows; it makes me uncomfortable. I like that a lot of the characters are really relatable. Q: Who is your favorite character? A: My favorite is Tina, who is the oldest daughter. She’s around 13, so she’s going through puberty and liking boys for the first time. She’s super boy obsessed, awkward and uncomfortable in every social situation. She has a really low voice for a 13-year-old girl and it’s really funny to me.

Storyline from IMDB: Bob's Burgers centers on the Belcher family (consists of Bob, Linda, Tina, Gene and Louise) who own a hamburger restaurant. Bob's burgers are really delicious and appear to be better than his rivals' but when it comes to selling burgers, his kids aren't really helpful, as more customers head over to Jimmy Pesto's restaurant. My Review: This is the saddest little burger joint ever, run by the weirdest family. The quips in this show are funny and sometimes in an uncomfortable way. The three children will say the most random and weird things that make no sense but are hilarious. The voices can be unusual and annoying at times, but the fact that they don’t exactly fit the characters makes it amusing. Louise is a really entertaining character because she makes a lot of things up and just has a weird sense of humor. My Rating: 4.5 out of 5 Seasons Available: 5 Number of Episodes: 88 Average length per episode: 22 minutes Genre: Animation, Comedy
