Western Alert warns of north campus prowler

At 2:11 a.m. an email was sent out to Western staff and students detailing the police report of a prowler sighted around 1:00 a.m. on Friday, May 25 on the 800 block of High Street.

According to the Western Alert, a resident woke up to a light shining into her bedroom window. She called the police, alerting them that she saw someone moving aside her window shade.

According to the Western alert, a description of the prowler was not included in the report as they fled the scene soon after, despite quick response from the Bellingham Police Department.

The area was searched by police officers, but the suspect was not found, according to the Western Alert.

The email encourages anyone with more information on the incident to call 911.
