What’s good: Ruckus Room

Every Monday this quarter, a Western Front reporter will tell you what’s good in Bellingham.

By Amalia Justiniano

With the rise of ‘90s making a comeback, there was no doubt that old school arcades were going to come back. For the past couple of weeks, I have heard about the Ruckus Room on Railroad and how it’s a bang for your buck.

The atmosphere of Ruckus Room is definitely one of nostalgia. They have  games ranging from skee ball to Pac-Man. There are  a lot of kids during the day, but once the sun goes down, the adults are ready to play.

All the games there range from 25 cents to $2. If you come in with a pocket full of quarters then you’ll have 2 hours of entertainment for $10. Disclaimer: This will vary on your mastery of a pinball machine.

If you are 21+,you can get a can or bottle of beer ranging from $2.50- $5. Nachos and hot dogs are $4.50- $6. They also have regional ice cream starting at $2.50 for a scoop. Or if you’re not up for that, Casa Que Pasa is right next door.

The Ruckus Room is a great place to keep in mind when you have friends visiting Bellingham or just to kick it on a Saturday night. It’s something that college students are able to do on a budget.

They are open from 3-10 p.m Monday thru Thursday, from 3 p.m.- 12 a.m. on Fridays, from 11 – 12 a.m. on Saturdays and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays.

It is located on 1423 Railroad Ave.
