What’s Western Wearing

By: Rachael Buselmeier

Real style is in the details, and these Western students are turning heads with their ornate earrings.

Name: Joe Loughren

Year: Sophomore

“I found this earring at the Value Village,” Loughren said. “I like it ‘cause he feels like my sidekick and he’s like a good luck charm. I know I’m gonna have a good day when he’s by my side.”

Name: Lola Krauss-Lucas

Year: Sophomore

“I was working at a studio that makes puppets and one of the things I was doing was sculpting clay hands for the puppets. I started by making a clay model and then casting a mold in plastic. When I left the internship I took a pair of the hands with me and turned them into earrings.”
