BREAKING: Coach Halsell received written reprimand for not disclosing Tanner Boyd arrest

Convicted felon Tanner Boyd, 26, was arrested for allegedly breaking into the Highland Hall dorm rooms on Nov. 12, 2016. At the time of his arrest he was wearing clothes allegedly stolen from female residents.

University administrators said Head Track and Field Coach Kelven "PeeWee" Halsell was disciplined for concealing his knowledge of volunteer track coach Tanner Boyd's earlier arrest in 2014 under similar circumstance.

This letter obtained by The Western Front is a formal, written reprimand from Director of Athletics Steven Card, dated April 10, 2017.

Card informs Halsell that further negligence could lead to termination from his coaching position, but praises his earlier work in the position.
