By Alyssa Evans A man was apprehended by University Police in connection with thefts of clothing in Highland Hall Saturday, Nov. 11, 2016, according to a Western Alert. A call was received by University Police around 2:13 a.m. Saturday with a report that a man was checking unlocked doors in unoccupied rooms in the residence hall, according to the alert. A man has been booked into Whatcom County Jail on suspicion of burglary and theft charges, according to the alert. Western’s Director of Communications and Marketing Paul Cocke declined to comment, but encourages community members to be aware of Western’s crime prevention tips.
