Western student killed in crash

Western student Trevor D’Mello,19, died early Monday morning, June 13, in a motorcycle accident on I-90. He sustained multiple blunt force injuries and his death has been ruled an accident, according to the King County Medical Examiner's office. D’Mello graduated from Skyline High School and American School of Paris in 2014 and had just completed his second year at Western, said Paul Cocke, University Director of Communications and Marketing. D’Mello spoke English and French, and had an undeclared interest in management and international business. According to the police report, D’Mello was traveling west on I-90 at 12:30 a.m. when he fell from his bike and was struck by another vehicle. The report stated he was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The cause of the crash has yet to be determined. The Western Front will update this story as more information becomes available.   Correction: In the original article, it stated D'Mello died late Monday night. He died early Monday morning.
