The Wild Buffalo hosts a lip sync battle every Monday. There were five contestants who performed on Monday, Jan. 18. Each contestant made it through the entirety of their setlist, except for the fourth performer, Sam, who had to stop competing after she fell off stage and hit her head which resulted in bleeding during her second song. Some of the contestants included an employee from Fat Pie Pizza, an employee from the Horseshoe Café and a blogger who writes for an online zombie page. Rachael Satter, one of the performers, said she’d become friends with Craig, the owner of the Wild Buffalo, and that’s how she heard about the battle. “I perform in general, this is just one fun thing I do,” Satter said. “I’d like to think I really put myself into my performance and that’s usually what gets me through.” At the end of the show, votes are tallied up and the winner is chosen. Three of the remaining contestants tied in votes and were all winners. Each contestant gets to choose two songs they want to perform, those songs will be the first and the third ones they perform. The second song is chosen at random, and they must “fake it till they make it.”
