Hunter Eider: Freshman, secondary education major

Q: What has been your favorite class so far?

A: I’m actually really liking my liberal studies class this quarter. A lot of people wouldn't like it because it’s ancient history. It’s about Greek, Roman and Mesopotamian history, but I really like history and I really like ancient history. The professor is cool and keeps me engaged. I think that’s important.

Q: What is a life lesson you have learned from the college experience?

A: Being more responsible with my education and realizing that this is very serious. This is something that I need to take care of. My parents are helping me pay for it, along with loans, but I want to be able to pay for some of this so I feel like I earned this college education.

Q: What is your best piece of advice for students?

A: Do all the extra credit that you get offered. Last quarter I did alright in a class, but not the best.  I finished with like a 79.6 percent and if I did the five points of extra credit that was offered in the class  I would have gotten to a B-.

Q: What is your favorite part about campus?

A: It’s a tie between the people and the trees that you get to see. I just love that there is so much nature around here. It makes me feel peaceful.
