Night in with Netflix: Big Daddy

“Big Daddy” is the type of movie everyone has heard of, but most people haven’t actually seen. I chose this one to watch because I felt it would be good for lifting my spirits and giving me a good chuckle. I was right. This movie was the perfect balance of hilarious and innocent. The plot follows Sonny Koufax (played by the ever-charming Adam Sandler), a man who has spent his whole life avoiding responsibility. When his girlfriend dumps him for someone more established, Sonny decides to do something drastic to prove his maturity. This “something” comes in the form of adopting the most adorable 5-year-old foster child, played by Dylan and Cole Sprouse.   [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUtfe0r1zT0[/embed]   Antics ensue as the odd pair try to navigate lives they never imagined. My friends and I were busting up laughing the whole time, but it ended on a heartwarming note. I expected the most predictable plot line for a movie as simple and somewhat cliché as this one, but there were a few twists and turns that helped keep me interested. This is the perfect movie to watch with a group of friends, a date or even your family. Do yourself a favor and take a break from your studies – “Big Daddy” is the perfect comic relief.
