Summer is coming to an end, and Junior Daniel Kiga knows exactly what that means. Time to hang up the shorts and t-shirts and switch them out for jeans and flannels.
“I dress according to the weather. Since we live in the Pacific Northwest, it is mainly something that will keep me warm and dry,” Kiga said.
Kiga enjoys wearing lots of layers so that he can be comfortable in any number of situations, he said.
Kiga describes his style as urban-street wear, and he draws most of his inspiration from fashion blogs and friends, as well as hip-hop artists like A$AP Rocky and Mr. West.
“But I’m not balling out because I’m a broke college student, so I try to buy outfits that are within my budget but still look dope,” he said.
He does that by looking for deals at Urban Outfitters, Pacsun, H&M, Stussy, and Nike.
Kiga is studying Kinesiology, and while it doesn’t necessarily effect how he dresses, style is important to him.
“Having your own style is a way to express yourself and it shows that you care about your own appearance and how you present yourself,” Kiga said.
